Food Network - Rebrand

For a branding project, our task was to rebrand a company that exists today and give it a whole new makeover. I chose to rebrand Food Network and make it more about being in the kitchen and sticking to a monogram logo. The project consisted on creating the following - Logo, Favicon, Business cards, Letterhead, Envelope, Facebook Header, Facebook Profile, Lower Thirds, a motion graphic of the logo, and lastly, a Brand Guide.

Starting off with creating the logo, I decided to use a lower-case "f" and add the bottom part of a knife to create one object to help the audience to indentify that it is the Food Network Brand. Then I decided to add the "f" onto a skillet to create a cooking vibe. When creating the logo, I wanted to continue using the "f" in the other areas of the project to stick with the brand and allow people to remember that object means Food Network.

With the Letterhead, I wanted to keep the front very simple and have a red border around the paper. I decided to only place the logo, the head quarters information, and the phone number at the top of the page. I placed the writer and their title to the company of Food Network at the bottom. When trying to come up with something fun to do on the back of the letterhead, I immediately wanted to use the "f" on my logo and create a pattern.

With the business cards, I decided to continue the simple brand I established for the letterhead and only use the logo and the favicon to create the cards. I continued to have the red boarder and had any imporant information on the back of the card including: name, postion, social media handles, email and phone number.

For the Facebook Header, I decided to actually show a cooking set up and placed the favicon onto the skillet just like it is on the logo. I felt like it was imporant to have food shown somewhere on the header to remind the audeince that this brand is Food Network and its the place to get recipes, learn how to cook, and watch cooking competitions. For the Facebook profile picture, I decided to take the red circle and the "f" from the logo to stay with the brand but to have it be familiar.

The lower thirds, I decided to use the Facebook profile picture, create a boarder around it, and have a white rectangle box appear beside it with the information on what you are watching.

For the motion graphics of the logo, I have the skillet fading in and then all of a sudden the "f" is slammed down onto the skillet. I wanted something to catch your attention and recognize the company before the company's name appears.
